Wandering through life

For as long as I remember, I have never felt fully at home in one particular area or country.. I guess it has to do with how I was brought up. My family has always encouraged the kids to go out and see the world and make something of ourselves. I am the first of the family to graduate from a university in Canada and have since taken to wandering about the world.

Let me explain something first: I am 22 years old, Male, Bulgarian born  with a Canadian Citizenship. I have a Bachelor of Computing Degree in Computer Science with an area of Application in Neuroscience. I have held a few jobs here and there and have lived in Bulgaria, Canada and now Sweden(for a Masters in Artificial Intelligence and Medicine)

This blog will serve as a place for me to share with friends and the rest of the world what it is like to be me. It will hold travel content, random amusing postings, rants, general life advice and other odd's and ends.

Let's start the blog off by why I chose the name "The Unconventional Tourist"?

I can not take the credit for this name, it came about as a comment on how I traveled  when I was in England earlier this year. The name coined by my best friends "Sister" explains how I stumble around when going to a new place or country.. this may involve going to a random event, specifically visiting a store or participating in workshops and classes, and  other things that a normal tourist (i.e one that walks around with a group and has a plan)would not do. That being said I mostly do things solo. Not being bound by a group or organized tour means I get to have fun and see every nook and cranny of a city or an area.

So far this is my first foray into the wonderful world of blogging. Please do leave some comments and let me know how I'm doing or whether you would like me consider a specific topic to blog about.
